..spring is here..

yay! I get to start working on my yard.... I have to wait a little while longer though, but I think I'll start building my planter! I have no grass in the yards, but I want to change that in the front. But again, this is a rental, no point in getting carried away. So I think I will stick to my multiple planters that I can build and take with me when I move.

I do have a nice huge tree in my front yard, that has a rock planter built around it, so I am going to have fun with that! I've got my bird feeder hanging off that tree (the squirrels love it!) and I have my birdbath in that planter. So I will work around those! But I am excited!

Cross your fingers for no more snow (it is spring in Colorado though!).

updates....

It's been awhile... but I've been busy. Or so I keep telling myself! I would just rather read and spend time with Byron, than update and catch up on blogs. Although, Sunday Secrets is one blog I never miss!!

So lets see, Christmas was great, It was just Byron and I. It was nice to not have to shuttle from house to house visiting all the family. It was just the two of us, and I loved it! Don't get me wrong, I missed our families, but it was a nice and relaxing Christmas.

New Years was good for me, Byron had to work, I flew to Oregon. It was great to see all the family! We sat around, drank, played games, and had a wedding! My Aunt Maggie got married on New Years Eve.

for this up and coming year, we have a lot going on... we're going to start having kids... or atleast trying. practice makes perfect! haha jk I will be the Matron of Honor in my sister's wedding in July. She is getting married at the Aquarium of the Pacific. I will also be in my best friend Kevin's wedding in August! So two weddings within in a month, and I'm hoping to be pregnant by then! Byron's even used to the idea. :) We're also hoping to make it to Mt. Rushmore this year for a mini vacation, just the two of us. So I will keep my fingers crossed for that!

Byron started school this semester. He is going for an Associates in Science for Computer Networking with an emphasis in CISCO (whatever that means! haha). He's happy to be back in school, and he is doing it part time and working fulltime, still at Sprint.

Anyways, that's all for now. :)

Xbox

Byron and I have, well had, two Xboxs. About a year ago we were given our second xbox by a friend who bought a new one. So, essentially, we each had our own Xbox. Sweet! I know. :) The xbox that was given to us had the Red Ring of Death. Our friend didn't want to wait for Microsoft to send him a new one, so he just bought one. He gave his "broken" one to Byron to fix, because Byron had been wanting to get his hands on one to mess with it. Long story short, Byron didn't fix it, and he tried to send it back to good ol' Microsoft to get a new one or get that one fixed and they wouldn't take it because he wasn't the original owner. Byron had a friend who had a friend (blah blah blah) who Modded xboxs and that would fix the Red Ring of Death problem. So we paid 20 bucks to get it modded. Now with it being modded we could play burned games on our xbox, and only pay $10 instead of $50! We still purchased regular games for our unmodded xbox, but purchased burned games for the modded xbox.

So, the whole point to my rambling is that our modded xbox was part of that ban by Microsoft. Yep, we no longer have two xboxs. Our nerdiness level has been knocked down a few notches. :) It's only the xbox that is banned, and nto out gamer tags, so I'm happy about that. But I do find it nice and convenient that Microsoft has banned somewhere between 600,000 and a million of xboxs right before the Christmas shopping season (so now people have to buy new ones), but right after the release of its major games (COD and Halo). Oh well, we don't care. We will not be running out and buying another, we had the second xbox because we could, and it was free!

Byron has to now learn to share his xbox with me, oh hell, who am I kidding, it's my Xbox that he's playing. I let him play it ;) He hogs it for COD MW2! He's like a level 20 something, and I'm still under 10!

While on this whole Xbox post, Call Of Duty MW2 is awesome! I loved the campaign mode, and so far I'm enjoying the online play. I can't wait to try Special Ops.

The Big Day quickly approachs!

So, twelve days and counting till the big day. Where does the time go! We're super excited though. I can't wait to see all my family and meet his (no I haven't met his grandparents yet)!
Things to do:
  • SHOES!!!!!!!!!!!! I still have yet to get shoes, slacker, I know. But it's on my list of things to do. :) so that's a start.
  • Put together favors
  • Finish parents gifts
  • Run through on hair (appointment made)
  • hmmmm.... what else. My mom has done a super job of handling the little details, and The Pinery has made it even easier! I'm so grateful that we picked them, our planner there has been awesome!

My parents/sister/gma/CJ/Jamy all fly in on Saturday! Byron and CJ will go to the Cowboy/Bronco game (Go Cowboys!) on Sunday. Wednesday we pick up a few of the groomsmen, and then Thursday everyone else arrives! Byron and I both have our bachelor and bachelorette parties that night. His will be paintball by day, poker and drinking by night. For the ladies we will do my Bridal Shower during the day and then go out to the downtown clubs at night. I don't know why I'm writing all this, but I just feel like it!

That's it for now! I'm sure I will come up with other To Do items, but for now, I'm good :)

Here is one of Byron's favorite pictures from our engagement photo session
