Abby didn't quite like her at first. In fact, Abby bit her on the snout the first time Chloe walked by her. We ended up taking her to an emergency vet at midnight. She was started bleeding again and it was swelling up. So I paniced, go figure. They shaved around it, flushed it out, and gave her pain meds, because according to them, Corgi's are "brave" :)
Everythings healed now, and she is doing great! The next day she was running up to Abby. We were more nervous than she was! But Abby didn't warm up to her right away, it took a little bit of time, but now Abby likes to chase her around the yard. Chloe has learned the "tuck n roll" it's a lot of fun to watch.
Chloe is def an early bird, and we are not, and when I say we, I mean Byron, myself, AND Abby!! We like our sleep, and Chloe doesn't care. Twice now I have woken up with her on top of my head asleep!
Anyways, that's my Chloe update. On to other things. I have signed up to take part in Lighten Up Colorado. It's a "physical wellness program that operates around teams competing against one another to see who can accumulate the most minutes of physical activity in an eight-week span." Our team captain has pushed us to do 100 pushups a day... yes you heard me right, 100 push ups. I suceeded at those yesterday, and I couldn't move my arms today! I love it! I am supposed to hike the Incline more often, which is awesome, that is one great workout. If you love a challenge, and you ever make it to Colorado Springs, check out the Manitou Incline. I hear sunrise is awesome, unfortunately that involves me waking up at the butt crack of dawn!
Glad to hear that they are getting along better now!
ReplyDeleteI think it's great that you are doing that fitness program, it seems very interesting and exciting! I want to do the incline with you when I come to CO in October!!! Of course, there may not be any time for that...you are getting MARRIED! But one of these days!
I have a tri named Chloe too! Your Chloe is adorable. =)
